Vermont Systems, Inc. (“VSI”) takes your privacy seriously. This Privacy Policy is to inform you about the types of information we may collect about you when you visit our website and how we may use and disclose that information. PERSONAL INFORMATION WE COLLECT : 

Personal information may include your name and contact information, like your mailing address, phone number, email address, as well as information about where you work. Personal information also includes any written text or communications, notes, or inquiries that you provide either on or through our website or by e-mail communication directly or indirectly with VSI. In this regard, personal information may also include information you provide about yourself, including your resume that may include your background, your interests, and your work history. 

You are responsible to notify us of any changes to your personal information. You may do this via our “Contact Us” page or via email to support@vermontsystems.com.  

As a VSI customer utilizing our Hosted Services, you may choose to collect certain information that identifies an individual, family, company, or entity.  Information of this nature could include but is not limited to the following: 

  • The name of the customer purchasing the services or products 
  • The address, phone number, and e-mail address of said customer 
  • The birthdate, gender, and individual needs of said customer 

The information collected is strictly for your use.  This information is maintained in a database that is only accessed by your staff and by VSI Hosted Services Technicians when necessary in support of the application. 

As a consumer of the services VSI provides to its customer, you may be required to supply certain information that identifies you as an individual, family, company, or entity.  Information of this nature could include but is not limited to the following: 

  • The name of the customer purchasing the services or products 
  • The address, phone number, and e-mail address of said customer 
  • The birthdate, gender, and individual needs of said customer 

The information collected through these services, is done so at the behest of the VSI customer who has configured the services for their use.  Data collected by the VSI customer from the consumer using VSI Hosted Services will be subject to the privacy and data policies of the VSI customer. 

 

HOW WE USE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION : 

VSI may use (or “process”) personal information to respond to inquiries about our products or company. For career opportunities, VSI will use the information to evaluate job candidates for placement and to respond to inquiries. You consent to these processes by providing your personal information, for example, in response to our career openings. You may “opt out” from the application processes or from receiving certain communications and correspondence from VSI at any time by contacting VSI at support@vermontsystems.com. 

Data collected through VSI Hosted Services will not be incorporated by VSI into any third-party advertisements or marketing schemes. This data is stored in a database that may only be accessed by VSI customer staff and by VSI Hosted Services Technicians in support of the application.  

By using the VSI hosted services option, you are consenting to the collection policies and retention of that data by VSI. All information that is collected and retained by VSI is done in strict conformance with all applicable laws and regulations of the United States of America and/or any and all relevant international treaties and agreements governing the use of data collection. 

PERSONAL INFORMATION RETENTION : 

VSI may retain your personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill your request or inquiry, complete the career application process, or to fulfill any obligations under applicable laws. 

RIGHTS OF DATA OWNERS: 

Where applicable law requires (and subject to any exceptions), you may have the right to request VSI to provide you with your personal information or to delete your personal information that is held by VSI. You may also have the right to restrict or object to use or processing of your personal information, as well. 

NON-PERSONAL INFORMATION : 

VSI may obtain non-personal information from your use of our website. Non-personal information may include information about the browser that you use to access the site, the operating system that you are running, what items you clicked on the applicable web page, how long you viewed a certain page, and information about the website you accessed immediately before you accessed our website. VSI may aggregate your non-personal information with the non-personal information of other users of VSI’s website or of other non-personal information collected offline. VSI also may collect anonymous aggregated information, like general traffic patterns within our website, to help maintain the flow and content of the website. Any and all of this non-personal information may be used to support VSI’s commercial, marketing, and customer service activities, or for any other reason. 

COOKIES : 

A “cookie” is a small file that is saved on your computer that facilitates the collection of information from the browser. 

VSI may collect information from time to time through the use of “cookies” and other methods. As a result, VSI may be able to (a) recognize you when you access the website so that you do not have to re-enter your personal or other information each time you visit the website, (b) customize and personalize the content VSI makes available to you, (c) maintain the “state” of your current visit (e.g., to maintain a list of your most recent searches or the items in your “shopping basket”), and (d) alert you to new features. 

LINKS TO OTHER WEBSITES : 

Our website may contain third-party links that provide access to other websites, not maintained by VSI or its affiliates. If you click on these third-party links, you will be directed from our website to another external website, which VSI has no control over and assumes no responsibility for the content, privacy policies, practices, or services. Your use of any external website is not governed by this privacy policy. 

DISCLOSURE AND ACCESS TO PERSONAL INFORMATION : 

VSI considers your use of our website to be private. However, VSI may access or disclose information about you and/or the content of your communications, in order to: (1) comply with the law or legal process served on VSI; (2) enforce and investigate potential violations of our Terms of Use, including use of this site to participate in, or facilitate, activities that violate the law; or (3) protect the rights, property, or safety of VSI employees, customers, or the public. From time to time, VSI may also disclose information to selected business partners, or other third parties offering products or services in which you may be interested, provided that such third parties agree to comply with the provisions of this Privacy Policy with respect to the use of your personal information. You consent to the access and disclosures outlined in this section. 

CHILDREN’S PRIVACY : 

VSI does not knowingly solicit, collect, or retain information from any individuals who are under fourteen (14) years of age. If we learn that we have obtained personal information of a child under 14, we will take steps to delete the information as soon as possible. 

INFORMATION SECURITY : 

To prevent unauthorized access to your personal information, maintain data accuracy, and ensure the correct use of such information, VSI has put in place physical, electronic, and managerial procedures as well as encryption and transaction security software to attempt to safeguard and secure the information VSI obtains from this website. However, no safeguards or security procedures or software is completely effective, and we do not guarantee the absolute security of any information provided to VSI through use of our website. 

POLICY REVISIONS : 

VSI reserves the right to revise this Privacy Policy from time to time in our discretion. If VSI makes modifications, VSI will post the revised Privacy Policy on the website, which will take effect immediately upon posting. It is your responsibility to periodically review this Privacy Policy.
