David C. Willey
November 18, 1930 - March 17, 2012
Dave was employed by Burroughs Corporation for over 30 years in the Burlington, VT and Boston offices. His last assignment was as Branch Manager in the Burlington office. After several years working with another local computer software company, Dave joined Vermont Systems as the FinTrac Product Manager.
Dave was our FinTrac customers’ go-to guy for over a decade. For some, he assisted them with a software issue. For many, he was their financial consultant. In Dave’s approach to supporting the customer, time was never a consideration. As a customer related to us, “if I was looking for the quick answer, I’d call the support line. I most often was interested in the thorough answer, so Dave’s extension was on speed dial.” This attention to detail made Dave the perfect instructor to our support staff on all things financial.
While we certainly miss his tremendous experience, it is the humor and wit in how he delivered it that we miss the most.
John P. Jennings
June 22, 1966 - February 12, 2005
John Jennings epitomized what being a VSI employee was all about. John did not understand the phrase "not my job." He was an integral part of the Vermont Systems family for over 10 years. The courage and determination John exhibited during his two year battle with cancer is a testament to his character, and continues to inspire us to do our very best every day. Through all of the suffering and treatments, John never accepted any pity and made us all stronger people with the strength and positive attitude that he approached each day. If one can have a legacy, the dignity and quiet bravery displayed daily will be what we most remember and cherish about John. His wife, Jessica, provided him with unwavering support throughout those tough times. While we miss John greatly, we retain lasting memories of his personal courage and his importance to all of us at Vermont Systems. Thanks to all of you who continue to remember John when we see you at user groups, conferences or in phone conversations. We appreciate your kindness and your support.
