Our Mission  Back to Top of Page

Since 1988, VSI has specialized in developing fresh software products for managing recreation and parks operations for municipal, county, state and federal military governmental entities. VSI markets and fully supports this software primarily on a national basis. The software is also marketed to private businesses with similar needs, such as golf courses and fitness centers.

VSI is committed to providing high-quality application software and responsive customer support for recreation and parks departments and districts. VSI Support has built an excellent reputation for taking a very personal interest in each of our customers. Questions and enhancement requests are handled in a timely and caring manner. Our company philosophy begins with this very basic but vital concept - 'Caring for Our Customers.'

VSI History  Back to Top of Page

Vermont Systems, Inc. is a privately owned Vermont corporation with headquarters at 12 Market Place, Essex Junction, Vermont 05452. The company was founded on July 1, 1985 by Bob Willey and son, Giles Willey. Soon thereafter, daughters Laura and Kate joined the company. All are actively managing VSI.

The company was initially established as a Value Added Reseller of banking, municipal, and other software applications together with hardware components. In 1988, VSI decided to specialize in developing recreation and parks software applications following a successful bid at the City of New Britain, CT. The struggles leading up to this successful bid, together with the work that was required to complete the project, best illustrate what VSI is today. For the past 20 years, VSI has focused on the recreation and parks market only.

In 1993, VSI opened a second related market when it signed a contract with the Air Force to provide recreation software for all bases worldwide. This contract, along with a similar Army contract, provided a substantial boost to VSI's growth. Today VSI has over 1100 customers including over 800 municipal and county agencies, several private organizations, and all U. S. Army, Air Force, Marine, & Navy bases worldwide.

VSI is 100% owned by its employees and management, and VSI's staff of 86 people are committed to providing high quality application software products and responsive customer support. Maintaining its initial family roots, eight current employees sit at the same picnic tables during family gatherings. This last fact is one of the guiding forces behind the company. Each VSI employee is considered an extension of the family.
